iugh Monsters
We are delighted to present “iugh”, a cartoonish collection of non-generated NFT monsters. Based on the most representative animations of the 20th century, this project, will take you back to those warm, golden, and appreciated times!
Background & Inspiration
Let’s go back to the 60’s ’70s, where Hanna Barbera’s animations were a daily part of our childhood, Tv Series like The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and among other classics, marked our childhood and thousands of generations of children during decades.
“iugh” is a recreation of the incredible classic style of Hanna & Barbera and The Pink Panther Show. Each one of these pieces mentally and subtly transports us back to the last century, where we were deeply involved and attracted to this cartoonish style.
Classic & Modern into one NFT
The characters are a fusion of elements, parts, and expressions that can be adapted to each monster piece, making them individually authentic and genuine.
Their nostalgic and colorful lines add a warm glow to each of the monsters, full of diverse feelings and making life in a world of landscapes. Most of the most characteristic symbols of the pieces start from elements of cooking or food, these being the artist’s most favorite elements.
Paradoxically, with a scarce use of colors, you can achieve something completely entertaining, different, and fun! Each of its colors complements each other to achieve a subtle and characteristically classic style.
In turn, most of the graphic art is equally illustrated with lettering rooted in the same style.
The meaning of “iugh”
A worldwide known and used expression associated with anything visually unsatisfying.
I used the name Iugh in reference to the expression they always make when I show some of my monsters, to me, they are adorable, but most of the people associate the characteristics of a monster as something disgusting.” Said the artist @Dilaanys
So, from now on, when you hear the word “iugh” think about this NFT project!
Our objective
“iugh” has arrived to provide the community with the opportunity to obtain a variety of unique colorful pieces based on an — almost — forgotten classic illustration style, with a friendly touch and a fusion between retro and modern.
Pieces that users can distribute and collect, that over time will transcend and become part of the 1st collection launched.
